What is RSS?
By subscribing to Portrait Software RSS 'feeds' you'll be able to get our latest content delivered directly to you the moment it is published - without having to visit the site to retrieve it!
How to start using RSS feeds...
The first thing you'll need is an RSS reader application...
There are many different applications available, some of which are accessed through your browser (like Bloglines), and some of which are downloadable client-side software (like Sharp Reader). All of them allow you to subscribe to your preferred RSS feeds in the same way.
Once you've chosen a news reader, you can subscribe to feeds from the Portrait Software pages that contain an orange RSS button - such as our press release archive .....all you need to do is CLICK THE RSS LINK !
Once you've clicked, you'll be taken to a page that displays a whole bunch of code. Don't worry - stay calm!
Just cut and paste the page's URL as a 'new feed' into your RSS reader....and then wait for the new Portrait Software content to be delivered to you. It's as simple as that! (For further instructions on how to create a 'new feed' within your chosen RSS reader application, please refer to your application vendor's help files or web site.)
In addition, some browsers, including Firefox and others have in-built functionality that automatically picks up RSS feeds for you. For more details on how they do this and how you can use it, please check their websites.
