C #.NET Developer (Henley on Thames)

Portrait Software currently has  vacancies for Developers with C++, C#, .Net experience.

These positions are for developers with 3- 5 years experience and ideal candidates will have experience in creating end-to-end n-tier Microsoft based business critical applications for the B2C and Customer Interaction markets in Retail Financial Services, Public Services or similar. We are looking for candidates who can work in both the web and traditional development environments.

Candidates must be willing to travel.

Essential development skills:

  • General Microsoft Development : Microsoft Visual Studio .Net, C#, .NET CLR, C++, COM/ATL,  Win32 API, MFC
  •  Web development : ASP.NET, JavaScript, DHTML
  •  Web service development: XML, XML Schemas, XSLT, SOAP

The successful candidate is also likely to possess the following:

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Senior roles require development/team leadership experience.
  • Problem solving capabilities
  • Analytical and design skills (producing technical designs from user requirements)
  • High level of self-motivation
  • Keen desire and ability to learn new skills
  • Willingness and ability to travel and accept assignments both in the UK and abroad.

Customer facing skills and experience will be an additional advantage (dealing directly with customers on a day to day basis).
